USB Charger with Rotation Timer for GIGA School Project

Hosiden has developed a USB charger incorporating a rotation timer intended for the GIGA school project that contributes to the “GIGA School Concept”. The GIGA school project is being promoted by the Ministry of Education in Japan, aiming to organize and equip each student with a charging terminal and a high-speed communication environment.
By alternately using two power supplies in turn (charge start/charge end), effective terminal charging is available, making good use of limited indoor power capacity, and at a time set by the timer (as time setting is available for each week including holidays).
This unit is designed to be compact enough to be portable, enabling charging of multiple items just by connecting a single mains power cable to the outlet. There is no need for a power strip or an AC adapter, so this greatly helps to save space.
This charger can be used not only in schools, but in any situation which requires a facility to simultaneously charge multiple items. The USB ports are available in 4 types; 22, 20, 11, and 10 ports, according to the number of people who may use such charging terminals.
