To reduce manpower requirements and workload, more and more facilities have been introducing IoT in recent years. Anomaly detection systems and services using edge terminals and sensors are also being introduced. A typical example of such a system is vibration monitoring of equipment to diagnose normal/abnormal operation or predict possible failure. Still, measuring and diagnosing vibration in facility equipment usually requires expensive high specification vibration measuring instruments. Often, when such measuring instrumentation is used, the greater the number of installed instruments, the better the problem detection accuracy, except that their introduction is balanced against the cost of their installation; and so in some cases the introduction of these instruments is postponed due to poor cost-effectiveness. To solve this dilemma, Hosiden has developed an IoT vibration sensor with sufficient performance to diagnose operation and predict failures.
[Product Name]
・Vibration Sensor
[Model Number]
・HVE1455
・Wide frequency bandwidth up to 6,000Hz. Able to capture vibrations of
harmonic components whichconventionalconventional measurement instruments
(such as portable vibration sensors or semi-conductor acceleration sensors)
often overlook, including failure signs such as chipped gears or bearing wear.
・Installation is easy as the sensor can be retrofitted to the target equipment using a magnet or adhesive.
・Status monitoring and detection of normal/abnormal vibration in machinery
