[Overview and Design Intentions]
Obtaining good sound quality under harsh in-vehicle conditions is a challenge. As a recent trend, however, flat frequency characteristics across an ultra-wide bandwidth are now a requirement for in-vehicle microphones in hands-free automotive applications.
To meet such demands, Hosiden has developed the ITU-T P.112 (FB) microphone that realizes flat frequency characteristics over an ultra-wide bandwidth (50Hz to 16kHz). We leveraged our acoustic expertise and technological developments to achieve a performance that our former products (KHM0100-010010) could not offer. (The KHM0100-010010 guarantees a bandwidth of 100Hz to 8kHz)
The newly developed microphone also has lower distortion compared to our former products.
